Pamporovo, Bulgaria
Bulgaria might be best known for its glorious beaches, but it also boasts some superb ski resorts - not least Bansko, which has been voted Bulgaria’s best ski resort since 2013. Crystal Ski is currently offering seven nights at the three-star Hotel Lion on a half-board basis for a total of £5,013, travelling from London Gatwick on Saturday 16th February. The hotel is only a 15-minute walk to the centre of Bansko, plus there's a free shuttle bus to whizz you from door to ski lift. There's also an indoor pool, steam and sauna if you fancy a break from the slopes.
Tignes, France
As one of the best known resorts in the Alps, Tignes needs little introduction. Its high-speed lift system covers more than 300 km of immaculate pistes, which incorporate some of the finest glacier runs to be found on the Grande Motte mountain. Book a six-night stay at the Hotel Hauts de Toviere with Alpine Elements for £5,018, flying from London Gatwick to Grenoble on Sunday 17th February. Redecorated in 2015, this stylish hotel offers panoramic views from its galleried restaurant. Perhaps best of all, you can almost ski right up to the door - which means more time enjoying the slopes and less on transfers.
Kranjska Gora, Slovenia
One of Slovenia's biggest and best ski resorts, Kranjska Gora is a tiny town located high in the Julian Alps, close to the Austrian and Italian borders. The resort's Podkoren pistes play host to races in the Alpine Ski World Cup, but the rest is perfect for beginners and intermediates. Despite its picture-book appearance, Kranjska Gora offers superb value compared to better-known Alpine destinations. That means you can book seven nights self-catering at the Vitranc Apartments for £3,287, with one child travelling free - a saving of £599. This deal from Crystal Ski is based on flights from London Luton to Salzburg, leaving on Saturday 16th February.
Val d'Isère, France
Val d'Isère is on the doorstep of Espace Killy, arguably the world's best all-round ski area, with the longest winter in the Alps. To sample these incredible pistes, and maybe soak up a little après ski at the legendary Dick's Tea Bar, book a seven-night fully catered stay at the Chalet Hotel Ducs De Savoie through Iglu Ski for £6,152, based on four people sharing. You'll fly from Manchester to Chambery on Sunday February 17th. Walk just 350m from the hotel entrance to the resort's three main ski lifts, including the Solaise Express, which whisks you all the way to the Solaise peak at 2,560m.
Geilo, Norway
There’s guaranteed snowy temperatures for February in the national park village of Geilo, southern Norway. It was one of the first ski resorts to open in the country, and it’s grown to become one of the most family-friendly. There are 38 pistes from children’s play areas and kid-friendly pistes to black runs, all within reach thanks to the free ski bus of Geilo. Sound good? Ski Solutions has space in Dr Holms Hotel for £5,880. A few minutes’ walk to Geilo train station, its facilities include a heated terrace to enjoy apres-ski overlooking the mountains, a sauna, hot tub and a library for those cosy non-skiing days.
