Our Coronavirus Cover

As hopes of summer holidays abroad are on the horizon, many people may be wondering whether their travel insurance will cover them to go on holiday amid the coronavirus.

In simple terms, the answer is yes! Our policies will protect you should you fall ill with coronavirus and need emergency medical assistance while you’re abroad. As well as provide cover for emergency repatriation, should you need to be brought home early.

They will also continue to cover you against any unexpected or unforeseen events that occur on holiday, including departure delay, trip cancellation and cover for personal possessions, which many people forget are major aspects of any travel insurance policy!

Like most current travel insurance policies, customers won’t be able to submit a claim for any other reason related to the coronavirus, such as trip cancellation, curtailment, or abandonment as the coronavirus is now classed as a ‘known event’. However, we may be able to move your single trip travel insurance policy dates to suit a new trip if you are able to rebook your holiday to a later date.
